To build a GNSS simulation platform using a software defined radio.

==Introduction==
Codan produces HF GNSS tracking products. These are used in a range of remote operating locations worldwide creating a heavy reliance on high performance GNSS communications. When a GNSS tracking problem occurs in the field it can be difficult to diagnose if the problem is a location specific problem. This is because the Satellites that are used to calculate the GNSS signals are constantly moving so to debug we are limited by the time and place (REF). A simulator bypasses these problems by being able to conduct a test for a specific time and location repeatedly.
Codan requires a portable device that simulates the GPS signal for a specific location to test their GPS receivers when this problem occurs. Codan requires the solution uses a pre programmable Software Defined Radio (SDR) implementation.

There are two key challenges that occur: physically locating the antenna and noise distortion. Codan requires a portable device to test their GPS receivers when a problem occurs. A pre-programmable SDR is required for this testing as the many operating locations cause a high level of variability in signal reception.
