==Introduction==
===Project Description===
The purpose of project 155 is to develop a medical device to assist in the rehabilitation of motor impaired stroke victims. The project involves using electroencephalography (EEG) to capture and record brain activity as well as processing the resultant signal in order to resolve it into its constituent components. The data obtained is used to control an applicator which is capable of controlling the motion of a user's hand. The project relies on the principle of neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to change neural pathways in response to changes in environment or behaviour. The goal is to use the medical device to assist in the remapping of the neural pathways associated with limb movement.
